This instrument was made at the 2017 International Society of Bassist Convention’s “Build a Bass” and is signed inside by the participants. A gamba model with a canted flat back of lightly figured European Maple with ribs and neck to match. The quartersawn spruce top has medium to fine grain. It is purfled on the front and back with three piece purfling. The varnish is a golden amber varnish and lightly antiqued. It is fitted with a mahogany raised saddle, lightweight tropical hardwood tailpiece, New Harmony carbon fiber endpin, and Sloane tuners.
